Anand Karaj (The Sikh Wedding Ceremony)

The heart of the Sikh wedding, the Anand Karaj is a spiritual ceremony held in a Gurdwara (Sikh house of worship). The holy Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh scripture, is present, and hymns are sung to celebrate the couple's union. We document the sanctity of the ceremony, capturing the solemnity and spiritual significance as the couple takes their vows before the Guru Granth Sahib.

Laavan Pheras (The Sacred Vows)

The couple walks around the Guru Granth Sahib four times, signifying their commitment to each other and their shared journey. We capture the weight of the vows exchanged, the seriousness of their commitment, and the deep connection they share.

Ardas (The Prayer)

The ceremony concludes with a prayer (Ardas) seeking blessings for the couple. We capture the reverence and blessings bestowed upon them, ensuring these moments of spiritual connection are preserved for posterity.
